Aftercare

What we offer

Aquamation is a loving and eco-friendly way to honor your pet’s memory. This process, also known as water cremation, uses a gentle flow of warm water and alkalinity to accelerate the natural decomposition process, returning your pet to nature in an earth-friendly way.

Unlike traditional cremation, which relies on intense heat and fire, aquamation is a serene and respectful process that reduces carbon emissions and energy use by 90% as compared to flame cremation.

Why choose Aquamation

As a pet parent, you would choose aquamation for a more natural aftercare option. With aquamation, you will receive 20% more remains of your beloved pet than with flame cremation. It is a cleaner eco-conscious choice, honoring both the environment and your pet’s dignity.

Pets at Peace uses Nature’s Pawprint Aquamation because it is a greener, gentler option which reflects our dedication to respecting both the environment and the deep bond you share with your pet.

Individual Aquamation

We will provide transportation for your pet to Nature’s Pawprint Aquamation for an individual aquamation with the return of their ashes to you. Nature’s Pawprint ensures that the ashes you receive are ONLY the ashes of your pet.  After your pet’s remains are ready to be returned to you, the ashes will be hand-delivered to your primary veterinarian’s office, where you will be notified of their return.  We also have the option of having them mailed to your home.

Communal Aquamation

When you choose communal aquamation we will provide transportation for your pet to Nature’s Pawprint Aquamation. You will NOT RECEIVE THE ASHES BACK with a communal aquamation. These remains will be returned to the earth.

Home Burial

If you choose a home burial, we provide you with an appropriate size cloth bag to be buried in. You will be responsible to check with your town to make sure this is a legal means of managing your pet’s remains. You will also be responsible to dig the appropriate size area and depth with which to bury your pet on your land.
